What we will never do.
Some of these cost us money. They’re published anyway, because a hiring platform that quietly sells advantages isn’t worth using — and a commitment nobody can check isn’t one.
The eight commitments
A candidate never pays for anything that changes the data being scored.
No paid retakes, no paid re-recordings, no paying to finish a question the timer cut off.
How you can check this: There is no payment screen anywhere in the candidate product.
Candidate money never affects ranking.
Not position, not visibility, not score.
How you can check this: Candidates cannot pay us for anything at all.
A competency score belongs to the candidate.
It travels with them to opportunities that aren’t ours.
How you can check this: The candidate profile persists between employers and after a hire.
No candidate is ever shown ranked against other candidates.
Every candidate-facing score carries a line stating it isn’t a comparison.
How you can check this: Visible on every result page in the candidate product.
The AI declines nobody.
Stage-closing actions are permanently reserved for a person.
How you can check this: The action tier on every agent task, and the run log.
We don’t score emotion, personality, confidence or cultural fit.
The competency framework is the only scoring input, and you wrote it.
How you can check this: The framework editor has no such fields and cannot be extended to include them.
Any candidate can delete their profile at any time.
One click, no explanation.
How you can check this: The deletion control in candidate settings.
We publish our transparency numbers on a fixed schedule.
Aggregate figures about platform behaviour, quarterly, whether they’re flattering or not.
How you can check this: The transparency page, dated.
What these commitments cost.
The retake revenue not taken.
A paid retake would generate revenue on every evaluation where a candidate wanted a second chance. We don’t offer it. That’s a real number we’ve chosen not to collect.
The demo that shows a lock instead of a score.
When someone asks to see what the AI produces for a role without a competency framework, the answer is nothing — because that’s what the product does. Some demos end there.
The reports that say their own sample is too small.
When a quality-of-hire report has fewer than ten data points, it says so and refuses to draw a trend line. That’s a useful-looking chart we’ve decided not to show.
If we break one of these, tell us — and tell everyone.
Report it to integrity@tanca.io. We’ll respond within 72 hours and the response will be public. Changes to this page are logged below.
This page does not have a product CTA. A commitment page that converts is a commitment page nobody believes.
